Landing Page Design and Development

Working for a digital media agency I had the opportunity to work with a number of different clients, all with different immediate needs and different branding standards. As part of a small creative team I often worked on assets for more than one company every single day. Staying focused and honing in on each brand was crucial.

Strategy

One client, OpenX, came to us with the desire to increase their lead generation. Our media team proposed a series of landing pages focused on three different products. The pages would look similar to the corporate website but would leave out navigation, focusing the users attention on the content of the page. Each page featured a video, short testimonial, three sections of focused content and a contact form. Only one link on the page would navigate away from the page. The goal was to drive form submissions.

Once the mock-ups were designed and approved I coded the stand-alone webpages and forms. I checked in with the media team a few months later and the tactic had worked just as we’d hoped. The leads generated from the landing pages were consistent and high-quality. Some online marketing methods are tried and true – landing pages, with their focused content and limited options seem to be consistently effective at creating contact between companies and qualified potential customers.
